🧘🏼♂️ Spirituality and hardstyle 🎉
Yesterday during the umpteenth training session with wonderful euphoric hardstyle I realized something. And then I'm not talking about the darker, rawer styles, but really about the euphoric hardstyle and how it originally was. As it was, before a certain darkness came into it that I never liked. I often noticed that many hardstyle songs are about connecting with the universe, finding the light, having fun, coming together, coming home, leaving the darkness behind, being the divine yourself, connecting with nature and being one together. Sounds pretty spiritual don't you think? I wouldn't have noticed that in the past. Spirituality was also a vague thing for me, going to church on Sunday and acting holy, right? Well, no way. That wasn't for me. In addition, the idea of the church didn't make sense to me. Worshipping a man who sits on a cloud and punishes us if we don't behave? That's not love, is it? That didn't feel right to me.
💚 The solidarity and connection 💚
Spirituality is something different for me. Spirituality is recognizing and embodying the divine in yourself, being one and connecting with nature and the universe, having fun, coming together, laughing, screaming, roaring and dancing. As life should be. And I found that in the joy of the euphoric hardstyle. The togetherness. Of course there is a darkness attached to it with all the drugs and dark influences that try to remove the light there too, but originally I experience the vibration of the music as high. When I read and feel the lyrics, the joy in the music. It cannot be otherwise that this music is also channeled from a field of love and connection. Perhaps completely unintentionally, but like everything that is created, it comes from another field. Where it is downloaded. And when I heard that there is a shaman under the stage of Defqon to work with the energy... I understood that immediately.
🥴 Festivals as escape behavior 🥴
What is it then that makes many festival-goers go so well with that music and the love and connection that comes with it? And at the same time want nothing to do with spirituality? Somewhere I have the feeling that many festival-goers are looking for freedom, for coming home to themselves, that they want to reconnect, but that they cannot find it within themselves. Which is why they look for it outside of themselves and can lose themselves in the festivals, drink, drugs and escapism in all shapes and sizes, as happened to me. But the solution really lies within.
🌳 Spirituality isn't just about hugging trees, although it can be nice 🌳
Somewhere I also have the feeling that many people do not have a clear idea of what spirituality is, because they have a distorted image through the church, through (social) media. Spirituality is not just sitting on a cushion and meditating. Spirituality is not just hugging trees and not reading the Bible every day and going to church. Spirituality is coming home to who you really are, connecting with yourself and everything around you. Spirituality is magic, like you may only know from movies. Spirituality is being in love with yourself and with others. It is entering other new fields, connecting with the field that is invisible to the eye. It is healing your own wounds, so that you are completely happy with yourself again. It is being completely open to yourself and the universe. It is realizing that you are the universe. It is going into ceremony. It is a journey. And yes… meditating is an important part of that. And yes… connecting with the earth too. When you want to hug trees or talk to trees. Be my guest, I also communicate more and more with the field around me and seek the connection. Nice and interesting what everyone thinks of you, as long as you are happy, as long as it feels good for you and when the underlying energy is love.
💞 Dancing and enjoying 💕
And spirituality is also just wonderfully standing at a festival and enjoying. Dancing with each other. Playing. Spirituality is also just having a drink every now and then or taking a pill if you want to. For me it is no longer necessary, but I will never forbid anyone. As long as you do it in love for yourself and not because you are running away. Maybe a bit of an extreme example, but you understand what I mean. You are here to have a human experience. You are here to have fun and to learn your lessons, so that you can continue to grow as a soul. You are free, free in making your own choices, free in life. It is only up to you to create that freedom and come home to yourself. To do what you came for.
Whether that is working as a healer or as a singer in the opera. Whether you label it spiritual or not. You deserve it! Everyone in their own way.
Aho 💚🐺
